Methuen Superintendent Scannel becomes the latest victim of gotcha journalism by the Eagle Tribune when her daughter held a party in her home while she was on vacation. The Trib decided this was a front page story. Lawrence Mayor Willie Lantigua moves to fire police officer Daron Fraser. The New receiver for the Lawrence Public Schools refuses to turn over documents on how he is spending state money to run the schools.
